North Carolina State University. Dept. of Physical Education.

In 1923, North Carolina State College’s (later North Carolina State University) Department of Physical Education was established upon authorization of the Board of Trustees. Ten department heads have led the program since its inception. In 2012, the Department of Physical Education changed its name to the Department of Health and Exercise Studies.
