C, Maj. Edward Manigault's battalion, under J.A. Leland's command; photocopy of letter, 20 Aug. [18]69, from J.K. Leland's tenure at First (Scots) Presbyterian Church, Charleston, and James Island Presbyterian Church; and photocopy of Leland's statement, 23 Sept. 1889, Mount Pleasant, S.C., re his election and two terms, 1843- 1845, as Superintendent of Public Works, including copy of printed report presented to the legislature, Nov. 1844, re income from toll gates on roads and canals, and payments for salaries and maintainence.
