Elliot, clerk of the company, pertaining to survey work and development of the city. Also present are notice of location papers for the Black Bird Mine; correspondence relating to a conflict of interest involving John Gardiner, Deputy Mineral Surveyor; and correspondence and legal documents pertaining to a dispute, between James M. Quiqqle and the Logan Townsite and Well Company, over financing of the town well. Blueprint and pencil maps show coordinates for townsite claims for Logan City, New Virginia City, and Brooklyn, which were adjacent townsites; mining claims of the Quijotoa Mining District; and town lots in Logan City.

Roskruge, George James, 1845-1928. Ledgers, 1880-1885.

Title: Ledgers, 1880-1885.

Five account books; one belonging to Roskruge, dated 1880 to 1883 which includes amounts received for surveying and other business with various people including Henry Buehman, R.R. Richardson, Paul Riecker, and Hiram Stevens. The other four ledgers are cash and daybooks for Shotwell & Logan and the Logan City Water Company, dated 1883 to 1885. The Shotwell & Logan daybook includes entries for lease payments for town lots giving the name of lessor, amount paid, and number of lot. Also present are Receiver Receipts from the U.S. Land Office for mineral entries at Quijotoa Mining District.
