Larry Hightower went on a "goodwill" tour around the United States, Canada and Mexico from 1946 to 1948 to promote the State of Washington. His trip was unusual because he pushed a wheelbarrow during most of his travels. Throughout the trip, he sent correspondence, miscellaneous publications, pamphlets and artifacts to Earl Coe, Washington State's Secretary of State. The collection includes postcards, some colored, and black & white photographs. The dimension range from 2. 5 in. (6 cm.) x 3.5 in. (9 cm.) up to 8 in. (20 cm.) x 10 in. (26 cm.) When he returned it seems that there was an exhibit of his trip.
