The scrapbooks contain clippings supplied by a clippings service regarding Cabell and his works, chiefly reviews of his early books. The scrapbooks also contain letters to Cabell from publishers, fellow authors, readers, and reviewers; as well as programs and announcements. The "Jurgen" obscenity controversy is a frequent topic. In addition there are fragments of manuscripts by Cabell, manuscripts of poetry, essays and book reviews by other authors including "The unknown poetry of James Branch Cabell" by Louis Untermeyer, "The hashish-eater" by Clark Ashton Smith, and "Literary sore toes" by Edward Hale Bierstadt. Title: Music sources for Kurt Weill's Firebrand of Florence in the collection of the Weill-Lenya Research Center, 1944-[ongoing].

The collection forms part of Series 10, which consists mainly of music manuscripts: non-autograph originals and photocopies of both non-autographs and autographs. It also includes rental materials and some arrangements by other composers. Briefly stated, all music materials for the works of Weill other than those offered for sale by publishers are included, whether in score or parts, as long as they present his music without fundamentally altering its character. Of particular importance in the collection of materials on The firebrand of Florence are the following: photocopies of rehearsal scores from the original production; edited vocal scores, derived from the rehearsal scores, produced in the 1980's; variant versions of some numbers (including The duchess's letter and The little naked boy); and extensive performance materials for the Sarabande from Curtis School of Music.

The Nana Bryant papers focus primarily on the early part of Bryant's career when she was a stock company leading lady. A scrapbook of clippings about performances in California, Washington, D.C. and Maine, a few fan letters and snapshots document this time. Her Broadway career is represented by opening night telegrams for the Firebrand in 1924 and a program from the 1945 production of Marriage Is for Single People autographed by cast members. The collection merely touches on a career that spanned over fifty years.
