Manuscript, possibly autograph, of Moziño's account of the Nootka expedition, later published as Noticias de Nutka. In twelve chapters, the work describes the discovery and locations of the Nootka and details their social life and customs, government, religious beliefs, natural resources, and trade. Moziño also discusses the relations between the English and Spanish on the Northwest coast, including their conflict over the Spanish seizure of the Argonaut, the Princess Royal, and the Portuguese ship Iphegenia. There are also references to the explorations of the Americans John Kendrick and the trader Robert Gray. The work's concluding section is the Breve Diccionario del Ydioma de Nutca.

Log and narrative of the voyage of the ship Columbia Redidiva and sloop Lady Washington, commanded by John Kendrick and Robert Gray respectively, from Boston (Mass.) to the northwest coast to trade with native Americans for sea otter furs, thence to Canton to trade the furs for tea and other wares, and then homeward to Boston. The narrative covers the period 28 Sep. 1787 to 17 June 1789, when the ships were still plying the northwest coast for furs. Includes a "vocabulary of Nootka Sound," a glossary of words in the Nootka language.
