They consist of documents used in probating the estates of Thomas Currier (1781-1866), his second wife Sarah Currier (d. 1859), and his son Thomas Sargent Currier (ca. 1810-1877); deeds and conveyances for land owned by the family in Amesbury and Salisbury, Massachusetts and Kingston, New Hampshire; and some papers of Thomas Florian Currier (1833-1906), son of Thomas Sargent Currier. Thomas Florian Currier, a lawyer who lived in Boston, seems to have handled most of the family's affairs, often with the help of his brother, Horace H. Currier, as documented by letters from the latter. Other family members whose financial affairs are mentioned include William A. Currier and Rachel Currier, siblings of Thomas Sargent Currier, and Jonathan Currier. The papers also contain notes for a biographical sketch of Thomas Florian Currier by his son Thomas Franklin Currier, and a carte de visite photograph of Thomas Sargent Currier.
