Viviano Flores begins with his personal and family background and recounts his entry into the music industry as a manager. He recounts the failure of the 'Little Joe' club venue, a business venture begun in Pasadena, Texas in the late 1970s to showcase the musical group, Little Joe, Johnny y La Familia. He discusses the start of his own talent agency, Hispanic Talent Unlimited, and his work with the musical group La Mafia in 1987 as their road manager. He tells of his work as a promoter in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and emphasizes learning the legal side of the music business to protect his clients' interests. He attributes the increasing popularity of Tejano music across the United States since the 1950s to the settlement of Mexican-American migrant agricultural workers in major cities, particularly Chicago, Illinois. He gives his opinions of the differences between conjunto, norteño, and Tejano music and comments on the crowd-pleasing performances of guitarist Lorenzo Caballero, singer Isidro Lopez, and late Tejana artist Selena, as well as Selena's role in creating opportunities for women within the male-dominated Tejano music scene. She reveals her mother's hand in boosting her music career and explains the development and influences of Tejano music. She explores the impact of Mexican American music artist Selena in expanding the Tejano music market for other Mexican American women. Elyssia Bustamante begins with her personal and family background and notes her struggle to become a performer. She credits to the camaradarie of other female performers and the financial and emotional support of her family for her success. She discusses the problems of keeping up personal relationships with the hectic lifestyle of a performer. She exposes her difficulties with the Spanish language because she was not raised in a bilingual environment with Spanish in the home. She sings a portion of one of her recordings, "Es Amor," mentions working with composer George Guerra, and attributes Mexican American music artist Selena for opening the Tejano music arena to more Mexican American female performers.

She mentions the recognition the group received at the Tejano Music Awards and refers to an upcoming appearance for the Pura Vida awards. She recalls a conversation with Mexican American singer Selena, talks about female Tejano music vocalists Laura Canales and Elsa García, and comments on Hispanic American music artist Gloria Estefan. She addresses the hardship of touring with the group and shares her responses to questions from the audience. Her husband, Carlos Silvas, speaks briefly during the interview, however, he is misidentified in the transcript as "Mr. Gonzales."

He describes the extent of his Hispanic Entertainment Archives and explains its purpose in exhibits for the Tejano Music Awards. He notes a trend in Tejano music from singing in Spanish toward singing in English and talks about Hispanic artist Gloria Estefan. He gives details of the development of Emilio Navaira's image and performance style and discloses Rosita Hernández as the first Hispanic entertainer to give beer endorsements in 1948.
