Hernandez, Ramón, 1940-
Variant namesBorn in San Antonio, Texas in 1940, Ramón Hernández graduated from Breckenridge High School. He entered the United States Navy in 1960 and worked as a photographer for naval intelligence because he spoke five languages. During his naval career, he sidelined as an actor and photographer for Spanish-language celebrity magazines. When he retired from the U.S. Navy in 1983, he worked as a publicist for rising Hispanic entertainers and wrote freelance articles on Tejano artists. He founded the Hispanic Entertainment Archives and in 1990, he published the Texas Entertainment Directory.
