The collection chiefly consists of his manuscript, 'Trailing Geronimo' but typescripts are also present for 'The Truth About Tom Horn', 'Killing of Judge and Mrs. McComas', 'Story of a Medicine Man's Medal', 'Geronimo Campaign', 'A Snipe Hunt in Arizona', 'When the Comet Hit Tucson in 1881' and 'Letter of John P. Clum". There is also correspondence with other authors and editors and one file of biographical material about Mazzanovich.

Correspondence, manuscripts, research notes, newspaper clippings, maps, and brochures relating to historical research in Arizona particularly Gila County and Globe, Ariz. These materials are mostly Clara Woody's but there is also material from Leslie Gregory. The material includes information shared between researchers, eye witness reminiscences, and manuscripts for articles about events in Arizona history. Topics include the Pleasant Valley War, the Old Dominion Mine, the Wham Payroll Robbery, as well as mining exploration, military activities, murders, celebrations, local communities, Apache individuals and reservations, transportation, early settlers, and more. The collection also includes articles on similar topics written by others. Correspondents include historians, researchers, librarians, and authors. Correspondents writing to Leslie Gregory include Earle R. Forrest, Anton Mazzanovich, and Ross Santee.

Summary: Three photograph albums, mostly containing poor copy prints of historical photographs but also some snapshots taken in the 1920s of historical sites and figures. The photographs were collected by Wood and include portraits of many early southern Arizonans; historic sites, buildings and adobe ruins in southern Arizona; and Apache and Tohono O'odham Indians. He gathered these images during his historical research in the 1920s and many will be found elsewhere in the AHS collections.

Ringgold, Jennie Parks, 1875-. Ringgold Photo Collection, 1870-1940.

Title: Ringgold Photo Collection, 1870-1940.

Original card prints, copy prints, postcards and tintypes documenting the Parks and Ringgold families, street scenes of several eastern Arizona towns, law enforcement, criminals, and miners' strikes, as well as other topics of interest to Mrs. Ringgold. Of special note are Apache Indian portraits taken by Walter Lubken, ca. 1911. There are photographs of law enforcement groups during miners' strikes in Bisbee and Morenci, 1903-1914, military groups at the San Carlos Indian Reservation, and the Arizona Rangers in Duncan, 1885-1900. There are also criminals' photographs captioned with accounts of their crimes. Several hangings are depicted. Several photographs of Tohono O'odham include women playing toka, and the village of Little Tucson. There is a photograph of a Yaqui Easter ceremony and an image of a Mexican funeral procession. There are many streets scenes, including a series showing the floods in Clifton; President Coolidge's visit to Globe, and scenes in Safford and Solomonville. There is also a photograph of a group of people in front of Munson Cienega, the oldest structure in eastern Arizona. Images of gathering at San Xavier Mission, Coolidge Dam construction which includes mule teams on mountain roads, and a sign on a door marked "padlocked for violation of prohibition laws" are also present.
