Correspondence, publications, and photographs relating to Ivancovich's interests in the history of the Pimeria Alta region, including Father Kino, santos, and the San Xavier Mission restoration of the 1950s. Noted correspondents include E. Boyd, Henry Dobyns, Bonaventure Oblasser, Paul Ezell and Victor Stoner. Correspondence with E. Boyd includes photographs of santos by George Lopez. There are also photographs of Victor Stoner conducting mass at Awatovi. Correspondence and a satirical history of San Xavier Mission by Bonaventure Oblasser are also present. Materials relating to commissioning a Kino portrait and statue, as well as correspondence and photographs about the excavation of Kino's burial site at Magdalena, Sonora, Mexico are present. There are materials about the restoration of San Xavier Mission in the 1950s as well as records of the Tucson Community Group concerning preservation concerns at the Mission. A typescript copy of "A History of the Legal Status of Land and Land Use on the San Xavier Indian reservation," by Bernard L. Fontana is present. There are also photographs of Sonoran Missions visited by Ivancovich in the 1950s.

Van Ryder, Jack (Jackson), 1899-1967. Van Ryder papers, 1927-1969.

Title: Van Ryder papers, 1927-1969.

Correspondence, manuscripts, printed matter, legal documents, and art work relating to Van Ryder's interests in rodeo, western art, and Republican Party politics. Correspondences include rodeo personalities such as Guy Wedick, Foghorn Clancy, and Shorty Wallis; fellow artists Will James and Olaf Wieghorst; Richard Van Valkenburgh, publisher of the Arizona Nightingale; and Tucson residents Jane Ivancovich and William Hodgman. Hodgman provides a picture of post-war Tucson. Manuscripts are typescripts of editorials and articles for Arizona magazines and newspapers mostly concerning Van Ryder's opposition to President Franklin Roosevelt's policies. There are brochures from exhibits, divorce decrees, and business agreements. Also present are signed pen-and-ink drawings by Van Ryder.
