Diaries of Dr. Joseph Lee of Concord, Mass., kept in interleaved almanacs for the years 1769, 1775, 1780, 1782, and 1789. Entries note farm tasks including planting and harvesting various crops and tending animals, and the weather. Occasional entries note deaths in the community, actions taken at town meetings, and current events, including the inauguration of George Washington in April 1789. The 1780, 1782, and 1789 diaries contain letters to Dr. Warren, which have been sewn into the almanacs and used to record additional diary entries.
