Pettygrove (1848 May 25), and William Holmes (1848 January 7); general papers, 1844-1855; Washington County Probate Court petition for building a public road to Portland, 1850 May 7; hand written and typescript copies of acts, messages to the legislature, letters by John McLoughlin, and other papers, copied by George R. Schreiber and Esther L. Plumer in 1913 from originals (dated 1843-1849) formerly in the Oregon State Capitol; and various school compositions, pamphlets, and research notes relating to the history of the Oregon Territorial government.
