Bound volumes include scrapbook, 1943-1971 [original and photocopy], newspaper clippings re civil rights activism, voting in Democratic party primary, court cases, flight from South Carolina, attempts to extradite him from New York, career as minister, and efforts in 1971 to have charges dropped against him in South Carolina; and volume, 1967-1969, containing photocopied articles (incomplete) of "Our Part in a Revolution," DeLaine's autobiography serialized in the AME Christian Recorder. Photographs include images of the Clarendon County school desegregation effort of the early 1950s, including NAACP officers, Liberty Hill A.M.E. Church, Scott's Branch School, Summerton, the Rev. J.A. DeLaine, and Mr. & Mrs. Joseph Lemon.
