Seven ledgers, 1833-1854, recording sales, imports, commission accounts, shipping accounts, insurance, loans, freight and other expenses, etc. The firm, owned by George and Anthony Barclay and Schuyler Livingston, had accounts with hundreds of merchants in Europe, South America, the West Indies, Nova Scotia, Canada, the U.S., and perhaps elsewhere. Included are more frequent accounts with Capt. John Deming, Melhuish Gray & Co., Robertson & Mackie, B. Ingham & Co., Susan Barclay, and the partners themselves.

Series 6 consists of approximately 51,000 images of or pertaining to sports and sporting events, largely at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, but also at other institutions, largely in the Atlantic Coast Conference, and including some professional, informal, and children's sports activities. Where image dates are unknown (as in many cases), a date range has been estimated based on film type and subject matter. Additional images of sports figures (athletes and coaches) in non-sports contexts are included in Series 2 (People and Events). Images of boys' sports activities at Camp Yonahnoka in Linville, N.C., are included in Subseries 2.3 (though some of Camp Yonahnoka but not identified as such may be included in Series 6).

Some of his more frequent correspondents were: George Barclay, Henry Cary, Henry H. Elliott, Philip J. Kearny, John W. Kearny, Robert L. Livingston, Ann Parsons, Ezra Weeks, and William Young. The volume includes an index.
