Edwin Way Teale, Connecticut-based naturalist, was the author of thirty-two books. His papers include field notes and drafts for each of his books, early childhood writings, professional writings for magazines, newspapers and book reviews, correspondence- both personal and professional, personal and family documents, scrapbooks, and memorabilia, as well as his photographs (prints, negatives, and transparencies) and his personal library. There is also one box of original John Burroughs material Teale collected over the years.

Typewritten series of biographical essays about the members of the Wisconsin Gettysburg Battlefield Monuments Commission. The commission consisted of three veterans each from the seven Wisconsin units that took part in the battle of Gettysburg and include such prominent men as Lucius Fairchild and Thomas S. Allen. This document provides a list of all twenty-one members and then gives details about their lives, including pre-war life, Civil War service, and post-war life. Membership in the Grand Army of the Republic is often highlighted, as is political office held. No information is given about the function of the commission, its years of operation, or the results of its efforts.
