Includes one of two known proof copies of his novel The Roaring Queen, which was withdrawn before publication; unpublished novels, short stories, essays, and notebooks; and manuscripts and notes for Lewis's published books The Apes of God, Self Condemned, The Human Age (including Childermass, Malign Fiesta, Monstre Gai, and a synopsis of the projected fourth volume which Lewis never wrote), Mrs. Duke's Millions, The Red Priest, Rotting Hill, Rude Assignment, and The Writer and the Absolute. Also included are diaries of Lewis's wife, G. Anne Hoskyns Lewis, from 1953-1967, and Civil War reminiscences of his father, Charles Edward Lewis. Letters include correspondence with Ezra Pound, and transcriptions of letters between Lewis and his mother, while he was at the front during World War I; letters from members of his father Charles Edward Lewis's family, dating back to the 1870's, which describe life in upstate New York and Ontario; and many letters between Wyndham Lewis and other writers and publishers. The Garnett collection of correspondence spans three generations of the Garnett family, consisting of more than 700 pages of correspondence written to Richard (1835–1906), his son Edward (1868–1937), and Edward's son David (1892–1981). Authors of these letters include H.E. Bates, E.M. Forster, Leslie Stephen, Richard Curle, Liam O'Flaherty, Henry Williamson and H.G. Wells. Although the collection of correspondence spans nearly eight decades, from 1882 to 1966, the bulk of the letters were written between 1891 and 1928.

The papers of Lady Mary Dolling Sanders O'Malley, who wrote under the pseudonym Ann Bridge, consist largely of her holograph manuscripts for books published from 1932 through 1973. Peripheral materials include manuscripts grouped as poems, short stories, articles, reviews, and lectures, as well as manuscripts of unpublished works. Also present are several groups of correspondence, scrapbooks of clippings and letters, and a few photographs. Though the papers chiefly concern Lady O'Malley's works and their publication, there is correspondence relating to her experiences as the wife of a diplomat, some of which were incorporated into her writings. These include her impressions while traveling in China (1925-27), Dalmatia (1930), Albania (1936), and Portugal (1946-47). Four very large files of correspondence, chiefly 1953-1954, represent her research for Portrait of My Mother, and contain extensive genealogical information concerning the Brooking, Day, and Sanders families. Among this research material are some originals and transcripts of early family letters, 1815-1898. Numerous letters from family, friends, fans, agents, publishers, and others are present.
