The collection includes the papers of Austin Craig, a minister in the Christian Church and president of Antioch College, Yellow Springs, Ohio (1862-1868) and of Christian Biblical Institute, New York state (1869-1881?); a son, Austin Craig, Jr., (1872-1949), a teacher in various institutions in the Philippines, including the University of the Philippines, Manila (1912-1922) and the University of Manila (1922-1927); a daughter, Adelaide Craig Snyder (1870-1967), a resident of Ithaca, N.Y., and later of Minneapolis (Minn.); and her husband, Harry Snyder (1867-1927), a chemist at Cornell University, Ithaca, and a professor in the University of Minnesota College of Agriculture beginning in 1891.

Mrs. Evans transcribed the 1804 will of John Bell, Caroline County, Virginia and an extract of the 1776 will of William Bell, Orange County, Virginia. John Bell left his estate to his nieces Susannah (Suckey) Rowe, Elizebeth Jones, Nelly Wright, Fanny Smith, and nephews James, Robert, and Harry Wright. William Bell left his estate to his sons John Miller Bell, James Miller Bell, Henry Bell, William Bell, Thomas Bell, daughters Elizabeth Shepherd, Polly Winslow, Susannah Madison, brother John Bell, sisters Mary Wright, Susan Rowe, Elizebeth Bledsoe, daughter Kitty Bell, granddaughter Polly Shepherd, and the children of his sister Milley Cave. Mrs. Evans' letter to State Librarian H.R. McIlwaine includes Bell family history.

Also contains photos of Peoples Temple members in U.S. and Guyana, including an image of children in the nursery at Jonestown, and members with the first newsprint edition of Peoples Forum. Includes several photos of Jim Jones.
