Small booklet with a handwritten list of books (on 12 pages) available for loan [the Charlestown Ciculating Library produced a 13 page catalog in 1815]. Donor included a short typescript stating that this catalogue was made by Charles Carleton along with some biographical information concerning Charles' father.

Journal (1876 May 17-August 22) of Terry's expedition from Fort Abraham Lincoln, Dakota Territory, to the Bighorn-Powder River region of Montana, giving information on Gen. George A. Custer and the Battle of the Little Big Horn, as well as on troop movements and routine military matters. The journal also contains miscellaneous notes, lists, sketches, and mathematical figuring. Includes a letter (1875 March 17) from Terry to Gen. C.A. Carleton.

Title: Century Company records

The Century Company published the Century Illustrated Monthly Magazine, which was widely regarded as the best general periodical of its time, performing a role as cultural arbiter during the 1880s and 1890s. It was founded in New York City in 1881 and also published the children's magazine St. Nicholas, dictionaries, and books. The Century Company records date from 1870 to the 1930s and chiefly contain correspondence with contributors, readers, public figures, and literary agents. A number of manuscripts and proofs in the collection are extensively edited and taken with annotations on letters provide a detailed record of the outlook, standards, and functions of the company.
