The EBASCO records in the PP&L archive consist primarily of accounting materials. The records document EBASCO's relationship with Pennsylvania Power & Light, Conestoga Traction, Valley Railways and other companies controlled by Lehigh Power Securities Corp. Instructions to travelling auditors and the audit reports they prepared describe the ways in which EBASCO exercised financial control over its client companies and provided them with engineering and service contracts. Charts prepared by EBASCO's statistical department give information on nearly 50 street railway lines supervised by the company.

Founded in 1864, the J. Walter Thompson Company (JWT) is one of the oldest and largest enduring advertising agencies in the United States. The JWT Account Files spans the years 1885-2007, with the bulk of materials covering 1920-1995. It is an artificially-created collection of information about client accounts held by the JWT and provides information about JWT's management of its advertising campaigns. Additionally, the files document deliberations about such topics as media selection; markets and marketing; and target audience for individual advertising campaigns. The bulk of the materials, especially the older records, document clients managed by JWT's New York Office, but the work of other offices is also represented, including: Atlanta Office (Marine Corps); Chicago Office (Oscar Mayer, Kraft); Detroit Office (Ford); and San Francisco Office (Sprint). The collection includes account histories; research reports; memoranda; correspondence; printed material; clippings; brochures and pamphlets; product labels and packaging designs; original artwork and advertising proofs; slides; photographs; audiocassettes and videocassettes. Clients represented include Eastman Kodak; Ford; Ford Dealer Association; R.T. French; General Cigar; Hamm's beer; Handy Andy; International Banana Association; IBM; Kellogg; Kraft; Quaker Oats; U.S. Marine Corps; US Sprint; Warner Lambert; White Castle; and the 1964 World's Fair. More limited materials are available for other significant JWT clients, including: Burger King; Champion Spark Plug; Domino's Pizza; Lever Brothers; Northern Telecom; Oscar Mayer; Rolex; Standard Brands; and Scott Paper. Title: Hinsdill Parsons papers, 1890-1912.

The Hinsdill Parsons collection contains 2 cubic feet of paper records from Parsons' employment at General Electric, as well as personal and financial papers. The majority of the collection is comprised of correspondence between Parsons and various professional and personal contacts. The collection also includes financial reports from GE and other companies on which Parsons served as a board member or trustee. Other areas of interest include records of stock and bond transactions, both professional and personal, and several maps of areas affected by GE-affiliated railway or utilities companies. This collection covers the years 1890-1912, with the bulk of the documents dating from 1900-1912. The GE and other financial documents deal primarily with investments in the United States; the majority of the documents are related to upstate New York matters, although interests in other locations include Pennsylvania, Colorado, and Oregon. GE and Parsons were also involved in activities in Europe and Mexico. Parsons kept records of the clubs and organizations of which he was a member, including meeting minutes and dues records. Other personal documents include legal documents such as insurance papers and estate records, as well as correspondence with and financial advice given to friends and family members.

The records of the Pennsylvania Power & Light Company document the history of the gas and electric utility industry in eastern Pennsylvania in the years between 1853 and 1955. The collection includes both the administrative and operating records of more than 1100 companies that merged to form the PP&L system. The firms represented in the collection include electric companies, manufactured and natural gas companies, steam heating, water supply, street railway, bus, traction, coal mining and coal dredging, real estate and holding companies. These records document the economic and technical development of the utility industry against the background of the political and social environment of eastern Pennsylvania.

The records include minute books (1927-1946) which document stock, bond, mortgage transactions, and mergers. The records describe the company's relationship with PP&L. There is also information describing the operation of the New Deal's National Industrial Recovery Administration and the establishment of codes of fair competition for the electric industry. Records also document the company's effort to defeat the Public Utility Holding Company Act of 1935. There is also a good deal of information on employee relations and collective bargaining as well as company efforts to establish an employee Welfare Association.
