Assignment by Richard Townsend of Warwick, esq., Edward Raynsford, gentleman, and Thomas Davenport of London, gentleman, to William Bailies of Warwick, yeoman, of the residue of a term of 99 years requited by James I to Sir Francis Bacon, deceased, Sir John Daccombe, also deceased, then Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster, Thomas Murray, esq., also deceased, then secretary to the prince, his highness, afterwards King Charles I, Sir James Fullerton, one of the gentlemen of his majesty's bedchamber, Sir John Walter, now chief baron of his majesty's court of the Exchequer, and Sir Thomas Trevor, one of the justices of the said court, by indenture dated 10 January, 14 James I [1617], in certain manors, etc., in Warwick, late parcel of the lands of John, late duke of Northumberland, except as in the said indenture is excepted; to hold to the grantee by copy of court roll at a yearly rent of 1s. 6d. Endorsed with a note of assignment by Richard Baylies, administrator of the lessee to William Fetherston of Studley (Warwicks.), gentleman, dated 16 June, 1638.
