The collection consists chiefly of American sheet music published in the United States between the years 1830-1930. While a significant minority of the music in the collection is instrumental music, the vast majority is for voice and piano. Notable in this collection are imprints from California dating from before 1850, first editions by Irving Berlin and others, and many European imprints among the instrumental pieces.

Title: Two scrapbooks of the musical activities of George William Warren, 1828-1902, an organist in Albany, Brooklyn, and later at St. Thomas' Church, New York City, 1828-1902.

Contains two scrapbooks of musical programs beginning in Albany, New York, in 1849, to a nearly complete set of published Christmas and Easter programs from St. Thomas's Church in New York between 1870 and 1880. Book 1 covers the period 1849-1866 and book 2 covers 1867-1880. It appears that some pages in the scrapbooks have been removed.

The Love Family Papers consist primarily of letters to Lucy Prindle Love and Helen Love Scranton. Helen Scranton was secretary for many years to Franz Kneisel, and later she served as secretary to both the Society of the Friends of Music and the Beethoven Association of New York. The correspondence includes letters from composers, conductors, instrumentalists, singers, and critics. The Papers also contain newspaper clippings, photographs, and miscellaneous items.

Correspondence of William Pitt Fesssenden, and his sons Francis Fessenden and James Deering Fessenden. The majority of letters are addressed to William Pitt Fessenden on financial and political matters, but a few are private; several letters are addressed to Francis Fessenden, including one from William Pitt Fessenden. A handful are addressed to James Fessenden. Four letters (J.C. Ropes to P.W. Chandler,1868; Joshua C. Stone to A.J.C. Sowdon, 1868; Charles Allen to A.J.C. Sowdon, 1868; and William Paine to J.A. Deblars, undated) are not addressed to any member of the Fessenden family, but mention William Pitt Fessenden or one of his sons.
