Topics include the Consumer Gas Trust Co., North and All Souls Unitarian Churches, women's clubs, and spiritualism. Of special interest is the correspondnece between Martha N. McKay and suffragette Lucy Stone; accounts by former slaves on slave life and the underground railroad; a description of the original Butler University campus; a history of the West Richmond Friends Meeting; a letter about rifles being shipped to Knights of the Golden Circle; Selma N. Steele's drafts for HOUSE OF THE SINGING WINDS; and an Indiana Historical Commission centennial report. Also included are McKay family expense and real estate ledgers.
