Papers include a lease agreement (1807) of Richard Watts for land near Bull Creek Ferry (witnessed by Charlotte Alston); an acknowledgement (1810) by Watts of William Alston's ownership of the land; an acknowledgement of tenancy (1810) of James Newton; lease agreements (1817-1822) of Jacob Parker, Isaac Singleton, and William Cannon (witnessed by Charles Alston or Charles C.P. Alston); an abstract of title (1839) for the plaintiffs in the case of William A. Alston, Thomas Pinckney Alston, and Charles C.P. Alston v. Thomas McDowell; a plat (n.d.) with notes regarding land grants in the Bull Creek area; James Newton's release of acknowledgement of tenancy (1818); interrogatories (1842) concerning the case of William A.
