Connie Mack played for the Washington Statesmen (1886-1889), Buffalo Bisons (1890), and Pittsburgh Pirates (1891-1896). Mack is best known, however, as a manager. He managed the Pirates (1894-1896) and Athletics (1901-1950). He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1937.
Connie Mack played for the Washington Statesmen (1886-1889), Buffalo Bisons (1890), and Pittsburgh Pirates (1891-1896). Mack is best known, however, as a manager. He managed the Pirates (1894-1896) and Athletics (1901-1950). He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1937. Walter Ancker pitched for the Philadelphia Athletics (1915).

Mrs. Campbell has autographs from players such as Honus Wagner, Wally Westlake, Vernon Law, Frankie Gusfihe, Paul Waner, Babe Ruth, Burleigh Grimes, Ty Cobb, Tris Speaker and Connie Mack. Most of these autographs are on photographs or cards. There is a photo of Pirates announcer Rosey Rowswell from 1947.

Witman's 35mm negatives contain historic images of news events including the presidential campaigns of Roosevelt and Truman; the campaigns of Governor Lloyd Stark, Senator Stuart Symington, and St. Louis Mayor Barney Dickmann; and the Iron Curtain Speech by Winston Churchill. They contain photographs of St. Louis business and society leaders, and images of social events such as the Veiled Prophet Ball and the Municipal Opera. The negatives also include images of carnivals, baseball, boxing, Produce Row, steamboats, early aviation, a Negro baptism, horse racing, the unemployed, the military, war workers, union strikes, the state legislature, the Symphony, schools, scouts, colleges, the Art Museum, musicians, the police court, the public library, the city hospital, the morgue, the Zoo, and the prison. Witman also photographed the poor, the Ku Klux Klan, and blacks. One series documents the January 1939 Sharecroppers' Strike. Witman went to southern Missouri and photographed hundreds of sharecroppers and their families who had been evicted from their homes and were camping, with all their worldly possessions, along the rural highways as a dramatic demonstration of their desperate plight. Witman's work frequently included a full-page feature called "Candid Camera" that was modeled after Life Magazine.

A collection of scrapbooks, created by baseball fan John Lemire, showing a year-by-year overview of the National and American Leagues from 1934-1944. Each scrapbook has the yearly batting, fielding and pitching statistic, team, game and various photos from magazines or newspapers. Each has information an that year's Spring Training, All-Star game and World Series, including box scores and play-by-play accounts. There is information on rookies, awards, injuries, yearly obits and weddings of players and Hall of Fame inductees. Items of note: volume 3 includes game accounts between Japan team and Harvard, Yale. Volume 5 has an article that the AL has approved the first night game. Volume 6 has a few pages on Gehrig including a photo of him in his Columbia uniform, look back at 100 years of baseball, photo of the 1858 Knickerbockers and the 1884 Providence Club. Volume 8 has a tribute to Gehrig and Connie Mack, drafted plaeyrs. Volume 9 has articles on the Chicago City Series, Service Notes, war's impact on baseball and a tribute to Branch Rickey. Volume 10 has articles and photos on the July 12 exhibition game between the Ruth All-Stars and the Boston Braves, obit of Jimmie Collins, first major leaguer drafted. Volume 11 has a upper deck ticket, no date, from Briggs Stadium and a postcard with an aerial view of Briggs Stadium and an article regarding the fire at Oriole Park.

A collection of correspondence, newspaper clippings, banquet and awards programs, photographs and oral history relating to the careers of Herbert Armstrong and his son, Richard Armstrong. Series I relates to Richard Armstrong's life and career. He served as business manager for the Portsmouth Athletics, public relations director for the Baltimore Orioles and left baseball in 1955 to study and be ordained as a pastor. Included in his papers is the Baltimore Orioles fans survey conducted in 1954. Armstrong planned and directed Connie Mack's golden jubilee celebration and is conducting oral histories on his career as well as his father's, Herbert Armstrong. Series II relates to Herbert Armstrong's life and career. Herbert was a high school teacher, coach and athletic director from 1931 to 1945. He went on to accept the position as general manager for the Baltimore Orioles of the International league and in 1945, the American League. He remained with this organization until his retirement in 1973. He continued to serve as a consultant as well as president of the Baltimore Orioles Foundation.
