Halpin, George

George Halpin was a supporter of sandlot baseball in New York City in the early part of the 20th century. He served as president of the Catholic Base Ball League and the Kenmare Athletic Club. The Empire State Baseball Federation was incorporated on May 2, 1924 to promote baseball to its membership through meeting and games and to protect the interests of the players.
