Congressional records of Sam Gejdenson, U.S. Representative from Connecticut's 2nd Congressional district. The papers contain records spanning Gejdenson's twenty years in office. The papers include newspaper clippings on subjects ranging from veterans issues and the Groton submarine base, to Six Flags and tourism in Connecticut. Gejdenson's papers also include press releases concerning the environment, Electric Boat, and the Soviet Union's treatment of Jews.

Clothing manufacturer and labor arbitrator. Correspondence and other papers, relating to Copelof's personal and business affairs, and to his career in labor arbitration, chiefly as Commissioner of Conciliation in the U.S. Dept. of Labor, 1940-1947, and as arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association; and records of arbitration proceedings in which Copelof was involved. Correspondents include J.R. Steelman, head of the Conciliation Division of the Dept. of Labor.

A collection of sewing thread, needle books, and patterns. Included are 6 boxes of sewing thread, 7 needle books, a card with 12 white thread buttons, three patterns, instructions for embroidery stitches, and suggestions for a Halloween party. Three boxes of thread are from J. & P. Coats, one of which is a box of mending silk with hosiery finish, to use for mending stockings. Two boxes are from Coats & Clarks, and one contains Star Six Cord from the American Thread Co. This box still contains its original dozen spools of black thread. The other boxes contain spools in an assortment of colors, although originally only one color would have been in each box. Two boxes contain cards for reordering. Five of the seven needle books were used for advertising. The Merrick Thread Co. needle book was copyrighted in 1887; the others are from the 20th century. Two advertise the Brotherhood of American Yeomen insurance policies; both these postdate 1927. The National Life and Accident Insurance Company needle book also postdates 1927, as it advertises the broadcast of The Grand Ole Opry. One needle book is an ad for John Henrickson's jewelry store in Omaha, Nebraska. It contains Queen Victorian brand needles. The Army and Navy Needle Book dates from around World War I; it is decorated with a picture of a battleship and a biplane. The Vogue needle book may be from the 1950s. Two of the sewing patterns are dated 1919, both from the Butterick pattern company. One is for a dress and the other for bandeau brassieres. The McCall pattern, dated 1945, is for stuffed toys: a lion, a dachshund, and Humpty Dumpty. The suggestions for a Halloween party were from Woman's Home Companion magazine, but are undated. The directions for embroidery stitches were from Collingbourne's Silk Mills and date from ca.1918.
