The collection contains copies of letters from Wm. Matthews to Bolívar, 1828 February 18, and from W.S. Daniels to Bolívar, 1827 November 20. The collection also contains a presentation copy to James Cook Bardin of "Recuerdos y reminiscencias...de Rivolba" (anagram for Bolívar); and a typed volume entitled "Cartas de un Americano" apparently letters of Bolívar written from Europe, 1868-1872. Also a newspaper "El Heraldo," New York, 1928 December 12, containing correspondence of Bolívar, James Cook Bardin, and Edwin A. Alderman; and a typed copy of "Método que se debe seguir en la educación de mi sobrino Fernando Bolívar, by Simon Bolívar.
