Contains notes by Turnour of learning exercises which he attended as an utter barrister of the Middle Temple. It includes: (1) moots in the inns of chancery, 1614-1624; (2) 'My first case that I saate at after I was called to the barre', (1613/14); (3) Turnour's 'primer [and second] assignment', 1614, and other moots probably in the Middle Temple; (4) detailed notes of cases at Turnour's reading in New Inn, 1623-24, with lists of those who attended; (5) cases from the Middle Temple readings of Charles Danvers (Autumn 1623) and Henry Clerke (Lent 1629).

Contains a collection of moot cases, with arguments described (after fo. 64v). Names and dates are not always given; the earliest date is Mich. 1610, and the latest 1640. Several of the cases are 'post prandium.' They seem mostly to be from Middle Temple but at least one (fo. 93) is from New Inn.

Contains "Lectura Arthuri Turnour tempore quadragesimali anno regni Regis Caroli 9 ̊1633 in Medio Templo super illam partem statuti de usibus tantum quae tangit juncturas, facta 4 Feb. 27 H. 8. c. 10." This contains the reader's cases, beginning with the 5th case of the 1st division. It is continued in HLS MS 123.

Makes use of a few unreported Elizabethan cases; includes a few 'moot points'; and refers to the readings of 'Gavill' (fo. 52), 'Cavel' (fo. 55v), 'Philips' (fo. 70) and 'Hall' (fo. 73): i.e. John Cavell (Autumn 1594), Henry Hall (Autumn 1595), and Edward Phelipps (Autumn 1596) of the Middle Temple. This manuscript is most likely part of HLS MS 117, but is written in a fairer hand and preceded by a brief opening address.

Contains reports, mostly in the Court of Common Pleas, Pas. 8 to Hil. 11, Pas. 14, Mich. 15 and Hil. 15, Hil. 16 Jac. I (1610-1614, 1616-1619). Begins with Foster v. Jackson. They are of Middle Temple provenance: (1) "Ceux deux arguments de Nicholls et Dodderidge jeo escry verbatim hors de luver de reports amicissimi mei Talbotti Pepys, jeo mesme esteant absent del ambideux" (fo. 6v); (2) "Ex libro rep. Magistri Jerm." (fo. 12); (3) "Ex libro Magistri Savage" (fo. 40v). These latter are probably Talbot Pepys, Philip Jermyn, and William Savage.
