The collection consists of fourteen examples of Australian music: two folders of Bandicoot Ballads, compiled by John Manifold, containing a total of sixteen sheets with lyrics and music for Australian ballads, printed by Rams Skull Press circa 1953-1955, with woodcuts at the head of each sheet, hand-colored in the first folder; folder one is part of a special edition, no. 40 of 100; also, sheet music for A Pub with no beer, words and music by Gordon Parsons, performed by Slim Dusty and Gordon Parsons, published by Nicholson's, c1958; sheet music for Waltzing Matilda, words by A.B. (Banjo) Paterson, music by Marie Cowan, published by Allan & Co., c1936; v. 1, no. 3, Winter 1956 issue of Singabout, a journal of Australian folk music, containing music, lyrics, illustrations, and text; souvenir poem folder titled Australia's National Hero Smilin' Through, by Norman James, undated but circa 1930s, about airman Bert Hinkler; also, eight typescript carbon pages of lyrics for various Australian folk songs, including My Old Black Billy (two copies), The Overlander, Botany Bay, Wild Rover No More, Click Go the Shears, Bold Tommy Paine, and The Wild Colonial Boy, undated.
