Presbyterian minister and educator active in vicinity of Chester and Union Counties, S.C.; born, 1808, in Franklin County, Ga. son of Richard Saye (b. 1777) of Union District, S.C.; graduate, 1834, of University of Georgia, and later graduated from Columbia Theological Seminary; married, 1840, at Spartanburg, S.C.; died, 1892.

Reverend J.H. Saye (1808 - 1892), was an educator and Presbyterian minister active in the vicinity of Chester and Union Counties, S.C.; in 1838, Rev. Saye married Rebecca McJunkin (1818 - 1904) of Union District, S.C., who was the daughter of farmer and blacksmith Abram McJunkin (1787 - 1859), and Margaret Savage McJunkin (1789 - 1845).
