Chace to examine the vitality of research in the sciences and humanities at the University. The Commission operated concurrently with a ten-year accreditation study conducted by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) to define research, identify who performs research, devise better ways to support research-intensive faculty, and understand how research both affects and is affected by Emory campus culture.
