Albina (Abbie) Pina, a native of McAllen, Texas, was married to Ramsey Muñiz from 1966 to 1980. Educator and administrator of bilingual education programs, she earned a B.A. from Texas A & I University and M.Ed. from Our Lady of the Lake University of San Antonio. She was active in Ramsey Muñiz' campaigns.
