Salt Lake City, Utah. 1922-1932 Sales manager and member of board of directors for the National Thrift Corp. of America, Los Angeles. 1923-1927 First counselor in original presidency of Los Angeles LDS Stake. 1927-1939 President of Los Angeles LDS Stake. 1935-1936 Appointed member of Los Angeles County Rehibilitation Commission. 1935-1937 Founder and editor of California Intermountain Weekly News. 1935-1919 Established an agency in Los Angeles for the Pacific National Life Insurance Co. of Salt Lake City. 1928-1964 Author and publisher of Flashes from the Eternal Semaphore , Upward Reach , Muir's Thesaurus of Truth , Century of Mormon Activities in California , 2 vols, Life of William Smith Muir , Life of George W. McCune , Life of Truman Heap Barlow , and four series of Muir's Card Library of Choice Writings under the title, I Have a Treasure to Share . 1939-1943 President of Northern States Mission. 1949 Death of first wife, Ethie Malin. 1950 Married Ilda Le Cheminant. 1954 Death of second wife, Ilda Le Cheminant. 1953-1957 Member of fund raising campaign and editor of the campaign publication associated with the erection of the Fort Moore Pioneer Memorial (in honor of Mormon Pioneers) in the Los Angeles Civic Center (Approximately $76,000 was raised). 1956 Appointed co-ordinator of Jewish LDS Mission in Los Angeles area. 1958-1959 Served as president of Sons of Utah Pioneers for California.
