Biographical History
Niblack was a native of Vincennes, Knox County, Indiana; an officer in the U.S. Navy (1880-1923), serving in the Spanish-American War in Cuba and the Philippines (1898-1901), and as a naval attaché to the American Legation in Buenos Aires, Argentina (1910-1911), and Berlin, Germany (1911-1913); and reached the rank of Rear Admiral (1917).
Albert P. Niblack was born in 1859 in Indiana. He graduated in 1880 from the U.S. Naval Academy. Career highlights include service in the Spanish American War, naval attaché appointments in Rome, Berlin and Vienna, 1897-1898, Berlin and the Hague, 1911-1913, London, 1920-21; CDR, U.S. Forces in European Waters, 1921-22 and CDR 6th Naval District and Navy Yard, Charleston, SC, 1922-23.
