(Monument Committee, chosen earlier to arrange for monument to American soldiers at North Bridge, chaired by J.S. Keyes, engaged.

Concord invited representatives of town, state and national govt., individuals, and organizations. Pres., Vice Pres., Secy. of War, and Mass. Governor attended. Chief Marshal: Maj. Gen. F.C. Barlow. G.W. Curtis delivered oration. Celebration included dinner for over 4,000. Committee published Proceedings 1876; financial statement appeared in 1875-1876 town report.
