Biographical History

Seattle's Dept. of Parks and Recreation maintains the city's parks, shorelines, and boulevards; and administers community centers, public golf courses, and other athletic and cultural facilities. Funds for the Open Space Program derived from a 1989 King County voter-approved bond issue. Greenbelts acquired included slopes near Queen Anne, Magnolia and Capitol Hills and land near the Duwamish River.

From the description of Seattle Parks Open Space acquisition records, 1972-1998 (bulk 1990-1998). (Unknown). WorldCat record id: 549541794
