Brown, Mary Celestine Mitchell, 1866-1925.

Mary Celestine Mitchell Brown (1866-1925) attended Lake Erie Female Seminary in Painesville, Ohio. She married Edward Thomas Brown (1859-1933) and they lived in Athens, Georgia. E.T. Brown was a lawyer and mayor of Athens from 1890-1891.

"Lake Erie Female Seminary formed in 1856 as a seminary for women in Painesville, Ohio. The institution, now known as Lake Erie College, first offered classes in 1859, with 137 students initially enrolling.
