Facsimiles copies of 23 of L. John Nuttall's diaries and one memorandum book. The diaries include entries on the construction and dedication of the St. George Temple, Nuttall's work in the Church office, community news mainly from St. George, Mormon Church history and activities, and Nuttall's travels through Utah, to Washington, D.C., and to California. Frequent references are made to Brigham Young (including the settlement of his estate), John Taylor (including his illness and death), George Q. Cannon, and Wilford Woodruff. The memorandum book contains accounts and notes from 1877-1879.
