Hawarden, Edward, 1662-1735
Variant namesEdward Hawarden was an English Roman Catholic priest and theologian. He was born in Lancashire, England, on April 9, 1662 and died on April 23, 1735 in London. He was a student and professor at the University of Douai. In the early 1700s he and other professors at the university were accused of being Jansenites. He later left the university in 1707. He taught in other positions and wrote extensively until his death.
