Kenesaw Mountain Landis was the Commissioner of Baseball (1920-1944). He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1944. Connie Mack played for the Washington Statesmen (1886-1889), Buffalo Bisons of the Players League (1890), and the Pittsburgh Pirates (1891-1896). Mack is best known, however, as a manager. He managed the Pirates (1891-1894) and the Philadelphia Athletics (1901-1950). He was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1937.
