González Rubio, José, 1804-1875
Variant namesFray José María de Jesús González Rubio was born in Guadalajara and came to California in 1833. He was stationed at Mission Santa Barbara and served as the Administrator of the California missions from 1846 to 1851. He died in Santa Barbara in 1875.
Fray Blas Ordaz was born 1792 in Corvero de Rio Alamo, Burgos, Spain. Buried by Fray Jose Joaquin Jimeno, November 11, 1850 in the Mission San Gabriel Church on the Gospel Side.
