Stephen Gerald Breyer (b. 1938), lawyer, educator, government, was Special Assistant to the Assistant Attorney General at the Department of Justice from 1965 to 1967, and assistant professor of law at Harvard University from 1967 to 1970. He later served as Special Counsel for the Committee on the Judiciary of the U.S. Senate from 1974 to 1981.
