The prelude is an original composition, but Mozart's authorship is doubtful, while the fugue is a transcription of Wilhelm Friedemann Bach's Fugue no. 8, in F minor, the last of his eight Fugues for Clavier, all dedicated to the Princess Amalie, 1778.
