Shuckford, Samuel, 1693 or 1694-1754
Variant namesSamuel Shuckford (d. 1754), historian, was born in Norwich around 1694. He attended grammar schools in Norwich and Botesdale, Suffolk, before studying at Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge, 1712-1719 (B.A., 1716; M.A., 1720). He was ordained deacon in 1717, and priest in 1719, and was rector of Shelton, Norfolk, 1722-1746, and vicar of Seething and Mundham, Norfolk. He was a prebend of Canterbury, and obtained the living of All Saints, Lombard Street, London. He died on 14 July 1754.
