Shuckford, Samuel, 1693 or 1694-1754
Samuel Shuckford (d. 1754), historian, was born in Norwich around 1694. He attended grammar schools in Norwich and Botesdale, Suffolk, before studying at Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge, 1712-1719 (B.A., 1716; M.A., 1720). He was ordained deacon in 1717, and priest in 1719, and was rector of Shelton, Norfolk, 1722-1746, and vicar of Seething and Mundham, Norfolk. He was a prebend of Canterbury, and obtained the living of All Saints, Lombard Street, London. He died on 14 July 1754.
