University of Washington professor of physics.
David Bodansky received his Ph.D. in physics from Harvard University in 1950 and taught at Columbia University from 1950-1954. He was a faculty member at the University of Washington Department of Physics from 1954 to 1993, serving as the department head from 1976 to 1984. His research interests included nuclear physics and the environmental hazards of nuclear energy. From 1992 to 1996, Bodansky was chairman of the American Physical Society's Panel on Public Affairs.
