Carr, John, 1793-1845
Variant namesJohn Carr, a native of Pennsylvania, moved to Clark County, Ind. in 1808. Carr entered politics at the county level in 1824, and went on to serve in the Indiana House and U.S. Senate. His son Andrew Jackson Carr studied law, served in the Indiana House, and as Clark County treasurer.
