Irish Catholic priest and novelist.

Sheehan was born in Mallow. He was educated at Maynooth Seminary and ordained in 1875. He worked in England and then returned to Ireland. Widely known as Canon Sheehan, nearly all of the novelist's work appeared after 1900.
