Thomas Jefferson Davis (1893-1953) was Adjutant General of Allied Force Headquarters from 1942 to 1944; Adjutant General of the North African Theater of Operations, U.S. Army, from February 4, 1943 to April 10, 1943; and Adjutant General of SHAEF (Supreme Headquarters, Allied Expeditionary Force) from 1944 to 1945.
